Dr Lynette Venter is not only passionate about her patients’ wellness, but will also do whatever it takes to add value and to make a difference in every patient’s life.
She utilizes the latest technological and practical advancements in the various specialised fields of ophthalmology and finds ways and means to bring these latest developments within reach of the patients in need.
In addition, Dr Lynette Venter embarked on various International Eye Care studies to not only make a difference in the various specialised fields but also to add value to the international eye care community.
Dr Lynette matriculated from the Pietersburg High School in 1986. She studied Medicine (MBChB) at the University of Pretoria and graduated in 1992. She did her Internship at the Pietersburg Hospital in 1993. She worked in the UK for a year and the next 4 years as a GP in a private practice in Pietersburg. She obtained her MMed (Ophth) degree (cum laude) from the University of the Free State in 2002. She also obtained the FC (Ophth) from the College of South Africa.
In 2004, Dr Lynette started her own Private Practice in Bloemfontein at the Horizon Eye Care Centre. Dr Lynette’s main fields of interest in Ophthalmology are Vitreo-Retinal Surgery, Glaucoma, Oculo-Plastic Surgery , Strabismus, cataracts, and intraocular lenses and aesthetic procedures.
